The Next Adventure

Welcome to my new blogsite! I’m excited to share more info about this next step in my journey with you!

This August-December, I’ll be moving to Gainesville, Georgia, to continue with Adventures in Missions for the Center for Global Action, a 2nd year leadership training program for World Race Alumni! At CGA I’ll be given a lot of tangible training and personal discipleship that will help me live into the fullness of my identity as a son of God, and prepare to follow him deeper into my calling in the future. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I just got back to the United States from a 9-month missions trip called the World Race, where I was able to serve Jesus in Romania, Ukraine, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, India, and Nepal. On the Race, the Holy Spirit did so much in my heart. He showed me my passion for discipleship, called me out as a leader, and mostly, helped me to see that this journey of growth is far from over.

During these 5 months at CGA, I’ll learn how to build and bring the Kingdom of God wherever I end up. I’ll grow in my giftings as a leader and discipler, and learn more about contributing to a community through working part-time in Gainesville and seeking to live on mission in the workplace.

While there is classroom time at CGA, this program is different than a normal school approach. Rather than focusing on education, CGA instructors are concerned with formation – helping us become people who look and live like Jesus Christ in the everyday. The program is quite small, with only around 25 people being accepted each semester, and the focus is largely on personal discipleship. I’m excited for this season at Adventures because of the way this will help me get more in touch with my weaknesses and shortcomings, and learning to depend on Jesus and still serve others through the midst of being a super broken human.

Ask that He would right now be preparing people with the resources to help make CGA possible. And pray that the Lord will help me make the most of these next 3 weeks while I’m in Colorado!
